The uniquely luxurious Boulders Resort is a land of magical enchantment tucked away in the Sonoran desert of North Scottsdale in Carefree, Arizona. I just love this Resort and stayed here many years ago and have been so anxious to return especially since its now part of my very own Brand; The Waldorf Astoria. The Boulders is world famous for its championship 18 hole golf courses as well as its unique design which blends the million age old rock formation with beautiful desert landscape interspersed with luxury hacienda like buildings, villas, residences and casitas.
In addition to the famous Golf and Tennis facilities there are also several swimming pools, a world class spa and several restaurants. The staff aim to please and will accommodate all of your requests with a very friendly smile and passion to create a memorable experience and make you feel right at home.
The magnificent unspoiled landscape has acres upon acres of desert flora and fauna with numerous hiking trails; one could literally spend days just exploring the Resort. My first day sitting out on my patio: In addition to several birds and hawks, jack rabbits and wild hare roam freely but suddenly appearing out of nowhere was a prowling Bobcat. The landscape tells us the desert is very much alive no matter how developed.

The Main Lodge which also serves as the Main Lobby/Reception/Concierge Desk adjacent is the main pool area and main dining room. There is a lovely roaring fireplace each evening creating warmth and comfort.
The very comfortable and spacious Casita offers an oversized bedroom with adjacent sitting area, fireplace, television. Complimentary Wi-Fi throughout. Water, full service bathroom, bathtub, shower, dressing room with separate vanity. A most lovely outdoor patio with lounge furniture, table and chairs. Perfect luxurious comfort in the desert.

The Boulders is a most wonderful and unique Resort and I highly suggest a visit. Its very conveniently located just north of Scottsdale and only about 30 minutes by car from Phoenix Airport. The Concierge and Staff can organize all types of desert adventures from Hot Air Balloon Rides, to Jeep Tours to Stargazing with Astronomers to Native Indian Guides; not to mention the multitude of activities and events right at The Resort which is truly a destination unto itself. You may never want to leave!
