WARM WELCOME AND IMPECCABLE SERVICE AT THE LANGHAM HONG KONG

A warm welcome amenity at the Langham Hong Kong; one of my favorite hotels in my favorite city in the world!!  The Langham brings together European refined elegance with Asian efficiency all resulting in impeccable service.   This welcome amenity as shown above is a special creation from their pastry chef; tiny delectable miniatures on a tired plate; adjacent to which is an impeccable bowl of fresh Asian fruits but the Wow creation is the personalized chocolate photo frame!!

The elegant refined European Lobby is reminiscent of perhaps an Italian/Venetian Palazzo with incredible imported “Carrara” marble.   The Langham Hong Kong is under the direction of the meticulous and very charming Mr. Duncan Palmer, Manager Director and Vice President of Langham Brand Design.   Mr. Palmer is quite visible; often found examining the hotel from top to bottom; he is a true Hotelier with years of seasoned experience.  His direction is shown clearly in not only the impeccable design but the seamless service of the staff as well!!

The very comfortable and inviting guest rooms offer every amenity for the international traveler.  Complimentary WiFi throughout!!  Very comfortable beds and bed linens. State of the art electronic controls, adapters, converters, outlets, telephone and televisions.

The very large over-sized bathrooms offer sunken corner tubs with an open window into the bedroom area; this is very discretely and attractively protected by a wooden louvered shade; most Asian inspired.   Bathroom amenities are quite extensive.

The Langham Club Lounge is located on the 11th Floor: The Lounge serves a full complimentary Breakfast including Western and Asian items.  Coffee, Tea, is served at pre-set tables as shown above.   The room is quite attractive and offers three seating areas; a buffet display plus a separate mini-business center with printers and desktops.   The staff truly aim to please and are readily available for any assistance.   In addition to Breakfast; the Lounge also serves afternoon Tea, champagne and evening hors d’oeuvres!!

My dear friend and colleague Edward Ma is the Chef Concierge of the Langham Hong Kong.  Edward is also Vice President of Les Clefs d’Or Hong Kong.   Edward is a great friend and a great concierge; his expertise of the city and environs is limitless.  His great passion of his profession and city in which he lives and works is clearly shown in his delivery of service to guests and colleagues.  Edward can arrange for a beautifully tailored suit in not time, a private guide, boats, yachts, luxury vehicles, just about anything.   The Langham Hotel Hong Kong also offers an absolutely prime location being in the heart of Tsimshatsui Shopping District of Kowloon; within an easy walk or quick ride to the various markets; just steps away from the beautiful promenade haboourfront walkway and the famous Star Ferry to Hong Kong.   The Langham is also the winner of the 2012 Traveller’s choice award by Tripadvisor!!   I highly recommend it and cannot wait to return!!

Thank you Edward Ma and Mr. Duncan Palmer for your friendship, support and impeccable hospitality!!

    Dear Michael,
What a nice review about the Langham. This was why Willie was so proud to say he worked for the Langham, Boston. He knew Ed Ma and thought the world of him. The last time Willie saw him was January in London for the International Les Clefs d’Or.
