The Island of Anguilla is a British Caribbean Territory in the northern part of the Lesser Antilles. The Island lies just due North of St. Maartens, has an approximate population of 14,000 citizens. Anguilla is 16.4 miles long and approximately 3.1 miles wide. There are several well known super deluxe hotels: I will be checking in tomorrow to the very lovely Viceroy Anguilla Resort Hotel. The easiest and fastest way to reach Anguilla from New York is to fly Non Stop to St. Maartens, then transfer to Marigot on the French Side of the Island where a continuous Ferry Service operates to Anguilla. The luxurious Viceroy also has its own private boat service as well as a shared Ferry for its guests. Several of the major airlines and usual carriers offering non stop service to St. Maartens have suspended their flights during The Summer. Tomorrow I will depart JFK at 7AM via Jet Blue #787, arrive St. Maartens non stop at 11AM. A Viceroy Representative will meet and greet me there at Simpson Bay International Airport where I will be escorted to the French side of the Island in Marigot for the boat ride to Anguilla and then the very beautiful Viceroy Resort Hotel.
